Nursing Care for Patients Experiencing Acute Pain with Post Operative Appendicitis in Permata Hospital at Jonggol

Abstract
Appendicitis is a dangerous inflammation of the appendix and if not treated immediately, serious infection will occur which can cause rupture of the intestinal lumen. Based on WHO data, there are 1.1 million cases of clients suffering from appendicitis in the world. This study aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of nursing care for patients experiencing acute pain with postoperative appendicitis in hospitals. Jonggol Jewels. The research design used was a qualitative descriptive case study approach with intervention. In this study, there were 2 patients and 2 families who experienced the same medical diagnosis, namely appendicitis and the same nursing problem, namely acute pain. From the results of the assessment of the two clients, 3 nursing diagnoses were obtained, namely; acute pain, impaired skin integrity. Risk of Nutritional Deficit Planning is prepared within 3 x 24 hours with implementation using finger-holding non-pharmacological techniques. At the evaluation stage of the three nursing diagnoses, 2 diagnoses were resolved, namely acute pain and risk of nutritional deficit, and 1 diagnosis was not resolved, namely impaired skin integrity. It is hoped that hospital nurses should make counseling a program in the room to increase client and family knowledge about the client's illness and to prevent complications that could occur.
