Abstract

Construction sector contribute 32 % of work accident than foresty, transportation and mining. The government had protection to labors in Law, it is about safety labor (UU no 1 tahun 1970). Safety equipment in construction area to prevent accident, one of them is standardized of personal protective equipment. From literature reviews found that complienced level of using personal protective equipment was not good performance. The aim of this study was to analysed of complienced level personal protective equipment in PT Wijaya Karya Industrial and Construction of Steel Factory. This researched was a qualitative with six purposive sampling of informans. Focused of this study was to analysed of complienced level personal protective equipment . The information that was taken i.e characterisctics of informan, predisposition variable, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors. The datas was taken by in depth interview, doccuments researched and observation. Analysed used tri angulasi method. The average of knowledge in personal protective equipment was good. Complienced in personal protective equipment was oke. Most of the worker obeyed to use personal protective equipment. The tools of protection safety was not enough and the safety shoes of the worker belongs to them not from the factory. Supervision was in systemic method and the factory had applyed sanction to the worker who did not obey.
