Application Analysis of Occupational Safety based on the ABC Behavior Model (Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence) for Workers at PT Adhi Persada Beton West Factory Purwakarta

Abstract
ABC theory or better known as the ABC Model reveals that behavior is a process and the result of interactions between: Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence. Worker behavior becomes a very important benchmark for the safety of the workforce. Based on data and information obtained that the workforce at PT Adhi Persada Concrete has different characteristics, thus causing different behaviors as well. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of work safety based on ABC behavior models for workers at PT Adhi Persada Concrete Factory West Purwakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, observation and document review methods. Informants in this study consisted of managers, HSE, supervisors, foremen and workers. The results showed that the workforce had a fairly good knowledge and a good attitude regarding occupational safety and health behavior that was triggered by antecedents. The workforce agrees that the company commitments given to workers are good enough. Punishment and rewards are given as a consequence of labor behavior. It is recommended to companies, to pay more attention and increase the awarding of goods, bonuses and safety equipment to workers.
