Work Load Correlation And Potential Nurses Turnover At Ali Sibroh Malisi Hospital South Jakarta

Abstract
Excessive workload will affect the productivity of health workers, especially nurses, thus increasing the volume of turnover which will in turn affect the hospital’s own productivity. This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and potential nurses’ turnover. The study design used a cross sectional descriptive analytic approach with 30 nurses as respondents taken in total sampling during the periods of April- July 2018. The research instrument was a questionnaire about the characteristics of nurses, workload and turnover. Chi square test results obtained Ï value = 0.01 and OR = 53.33 can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between workload and turnover wish of nurses at Ali Sibroh Malisi Hospital, South Jakarta. It is hoped that the hospital management able to provide operational policies in reducing nurse turnover by improving the nurse's workload system to avoid overload and by providing career development to motivate the nurses to stay & work.
